PRIMAVERA: ENTRE FLORES E CORES

A artista Maria Clara Marra vem estudando Arte ao longo da sua vida e declara-se fascinada por diversas formas de linguagens artísticas, sendo a pintura a sua melhor forma de expressá-la, tanto que vem se dedicando a esta prática com obstinação. Buscando aprimoramento, realizou cursos em Brasília, onde reside. Participou de cursos de pintura também em Nova York onde morou e Berlim, e de workshop na UDK – Universität der Künst Berlin. Apesar da curta trajetória artística, Maria Clara já participou de exposições relevantes como na sua cidade,
tendo sido selecionado por uma competição pública para expor seus trabalhos pelo Memorial TJDFT, Museu do Tribunal de Justiça e exposição coletiva “Begegnungen am Rhein” em Rhens, Alemanha, ambos em 2018.  Sobre seu trabalho a artista destaca “A arte me propicia uma maneira prazerosa de ver e sentir, além de me direcionar para muitos projetos aos quais penso todos os dias. Uma vez que comecei a pintar, comecei a notar como o mundo é colorido, que as folhas não são apenas verdes e, sim, que há vários tons de verde. E, me pergunto, por que
não devo usar tantas cores quanto possível para mostrar minhas novas impressões sobre a vida?” Esta inquietude comum aos artistas, motivou-a a se aproximar dos impressionistas.

Maria Clara, busca por meio de diversas matizes expressar o lado belo da natureza. Acredita também que por meio do seu trabalho possa despertar nas pessoas a busca pela beleza interior e a conscientização de preservar a natureza. O Brasil possui uma riquíssima exuberância na fauna e na flora. A tropicalidade traz uma vivacidade e um manuseio no uso das cores muito peculiar e alegre. Além da natureza, um outro aspecto destacado pela artista, neste contexto é a água que representa a fonte da vida. As flores de lótus trazem em si uma metáfora: mesmo num lago impuro a planta filtra a água e faz surgir uma linda e pura flor. A artista Maria Clara está buscando neste processo expressar a sua melhor forma artística e não há estação mais adequada para isto do
que a Primavera.

SOBRE O IMPRESSIONISMO

Os artistas impressionistas foram rejeitados em Salões de Arte se uniram e criaram eles próprios um salão – O Salão dos Recusados. Inicialmente, causou grande estranheza aos visitantes. Posteriormente, tornou-se um dos movimentos artísticos mais admirados da História da Arte. A necessidade de romper com o rigor acadêmico que
classificava de “pinturas dignas” somente as pinturas que retratavam de forma fidedigna a realidade e a necessidade de expressar algo além de fatos históricos, bíblicos, de personalidades importantes, foram
fundamentais para o sucesso desta nova expressão artística – O Impressionismo.

Impressionismo, corrente artística de origem francesa, cujo principal objetivo era expressar de forma mais autêntica, nunca antes experimentada. Os artistas impressionistas buscavam temas como: observação da natureza a partir de impressões pessoais e sensações visuais imediatas. Uma nova pintura e uma nova forma de pintar em
“plein air”, ou seja, ao ar livre.  O Impressionismo tem na figura de Monet, um dos seus maiores representantes. Monet construiu um jardim, lindo e exuberante, com flores exóticas entre elas as ninfeias que foram importadas do Japão.  Este local tornou-se tão fundamental para Monet que durante vinte e cinco anos ele o retratou, até o final da sua vida.

Flowers and Colors

The artist Maria Clara Marra has studied Art throughout her life and declares herself fascinated by various forms of artistic expression, although painting is for her the best way of expressing herself, so much so that she has devoted herself to this practice with obstinacy. Through her journey in painting, she attended courses in Brasilia, where she lives, also taking courses in New York and Berlin which included a workshop at UDK – Universität der Künst Berlin. Despite the short artistic career, Maria Clara has already participated in several exhibitions. Her work was selected in the public contest organized by the TJDFT Memorial – Local Court of Justice Museum and featured in the collective exhibition “Begegnungen am Rhein” in Rheins, Germany, both in 2018. About her work, the artist highlights “Art gives me a pleasant way of seeing and feeling, as well as directing me to many projects that I think about every day. Once I started to paint, I began to notice how colorful the world is, that the leaves are not just greens and yes, that there are several shades of green. And, I wonder, why should I not use as many colors as possible to show my new impressions about life? This uneasiness, common to artists, inspired her to look closer at the impressionists.

Maria Clara, seeks through various hues to express the beautiful side of nature. She also believes that, through her work, she can awaken in people the search for inner beauty and the awareness of preserving nature. Brazil has a rich exuberance in fauna and flora. The tropicality brings a vivacity and a handling in the use of colors very peculiar and cheerful. Besides nature, another aspect highlighted by the artist, in this context is the water that represents the source of life. The lotus flowers carry a metaphor: even in an impure lake the plant filters the water and brings forth a beautiful and pure flower. The artist Maria Clara is seeking in this process to express her best artistic form and there is no season more suitable for this than the spring.

On Impressionism

Impressionist artists, rejected by jurors of the traditional Art Salons, united to create the Salon des Refusés. Initially, it caused great consternation to the visitors. Subsequently, it became one of the most admired art movements in Art History. The need to break with the academic rigor that classified “dignified paintings” only the paintings that reliably portrayed reality and the need to express something beyond historical, biblical facts of important personalities were fundamental to the success of this new expression art – Impressionism.

Impressionism, an artistic movement originated in France, whose main objective was to express themselves in a more authentic, never before experienced way. Impressionist artists looked for themes such as: observation of nature from personal impressions and immediate visual sensations. A new painting and a new way of painting in “Plein air”, that is, outdoors. Impressionism has in the figure of Monet, one of his greatest representatives. Monet built a beautiful and lush garden with exotic flowers including the nympheas that were imported from Japan. This place became so fundamental to Monet that for twenty-five years he portrayed it, until the end of his life.
